If you don’t want to chose all those painful or messy ways of getting rid of your Pubic hair and if you don’t mind the daily stubble and ingrowths, shaving is the most convenient alternative. Even though shaving is an easy process yet you need to keep a few things in mind in order to avoid irritations. Here are some tips –
- Trim your pubic hair first. The longer your pubic hair, they will clog the razor blades and mess up the entire process. So trim them as short as you could.
- Shaving pubic hair would not be as easy as your beard. The pubic hair tend to be coarser. Its good to moisten them before shaving for a close shave. Just wetting them wont be enough. Soak yourself in warm water or take a warm bath and wipe the area clean.
- Now apply a little shaving cream at the area and lather. Although there is a special shaving cream meant for shaving the pubic hair, but if you don’t have access to it, you can settle with the regular shaving cream. Do not use Soap as it may cause irritation.
- Leave the shaving foam on the area for 2-3 minutes. Now take a good razor. That excludes a switchblade razor and a disposable razor. You can buy a good quality safety razor from the market.
- Now you are ready to begin shaving. Now pull the area with one hand to stretch the skin for a closer shave and shave with the other hand.
- Shave upwards using long strokes to get a closer shave and avoid ingrowths. Avoid exerting too much pressure on the razor. You may cut yourself.
- Keep running the razor under a tap to prevent clogging.
- Shaving may give a burning sensation at the site. Once you finish shaving. Wash the area thoroughly using water.
