Photoepilators

Photoepilators also called as Intensive Pulse Light (IPL) are a burst of filtered light that target one hair at a time, which is then tweezed. This method of hair removal is considered to give longer results than tweezing.

In this method a fiber optic probe is placed above the hair follicle and then an intense filtered light based energy is sent through the probe into the follicle. As the heat is absorbed by melanin in the hair, the hair follicle gets damaged. Then the hair is plucked by tweezers.

Photoepilators are not lasers. They may cause thermal damages to your skin. So it is advised to go for modern lasers than choosing photoepilators despite their massive advocacy.
