What is the Difference between Wet Shaving and Dry Shaving?

Wet Shaving and dry shaving are two different shaving techniques especially used by men to remove facial hair. Wet shaving is the traditional method of shaving while dry shaving is done quickly.

The basic difference between the two techniques as the name would imply is the use of water. In wet shaving a man thoroughly wets his beard before shaving, rinses the razor frequently while shaving. On the other hand dry shaving just includes a razor and shaving cream.

A wet shaving gives a clean and proper shave where razor burns or cuts or skin infections are rare if done properly where as dry shaving can lead to cuts, razor burns and skin infections.

It is wise to prefer a wet shave to a dry shave though it takes your time. It is important that you learn the proper techniques of wet shaving to avoid any type side effects to achieve a great shave.
