  • Find a good shaving device whether it’s a manual razor or electric shaver that gives you the results you are looking for.
  • Replace disposable razor blades before they wear out.
  • Dull blades cause skin irritation, so use good blades.
  • Discard shaving blades after four or five uses.
  • Avoid razors with “lubricating strips” they ruin the ability to shave by feel.
  • Use gentle strokes; don’t put too much pressure on the blade.
  • Shaving while in or after your shower makes shaving easier, because the hot water and steam open up your pores
  • Wet the hair with warm water before shaving. This swells and softens the hair shaft allowing the blade to cut the hair, not the skin.
