For a woman, her leg shaving is something that has to be done in a routine wise manner. No woman likes hairy legs. But the problem is that a lot of women don’t know the proper techniques of shaving their legs and end up with red bumps, sore leg and razor burn.
Here are some best tips for shaving your legs. Follow these tips for smooth and sexy legs.
- Always try and shave your legs in a warm shower or bath, preferably after you have been in the water for a while. The reason for this is that the warm softens the hairs enough to make the shaving easier.
- Or else soften your legs by wetting with warm water for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Apply shaving cream on your legs and form a thick lather. Do avoid using soap in place of shaving cream, as it will dry out your skin.
- Make sure that you make your legs foamy and lubricated well so as to prevent razor burns.
- Place the razor at the base of your ankle and pull gently up. If you experience any razor burn, try shaving in the direction of hair growth. You may not get a clean shave, but you’ll avoid soreness, red bumps and razor burn.
- Do rinse the blade in between the process and be sure to keep the razor wet while you’re shaving.
- If you cut your leg while shaving, get out of the bath quickly, as the hot water will increase blood flow. Rinse the area with cold water to slow down bleeding Dab the wound lightly with a styptic pencil. It will sting slightly, but the bleeding will stop. You can use a piece of tissue if you do not have a styptic pencil.
