Well-shaped eyebrows always give an attractive and sexy look. Even they can change your look dramatically. They open the face, and especially the eye area.Using the right tweezing techniques, you can make your eyes look fresher, larger and give your face a clean, polished look.
Here are some best tips for tweezing your eyebrows:
- The best time to tweeze your brows is after a bath or shower, as the pores will be open and so the process of removing the hairs will be less painful.
- Or else soften your brows by wetting. You can use 2 cotton pads or a towel with warm water for 5 to 10 minutes. This opens the pores of the skin and makes tweezing easier.
- First wash your face with cleanser or warm water.
- Brush your eyebrows with a brow brush to remove any makeup or dead skin.
- Brush the hairs up and comb them by following the eyebrow’s natural shape. The really long hairs will be very visible. Use a pair of tiny trimming scissors to snip away the ends that reach above the thickest part of the eyebrow. You can use a brow gel to hold them in place if you need to.
- Draw your desired brow with a white pencil.
- Identify a boundary at the base of your eyebrow above which you don’t want to pluck. Carefully remove the hairs along this boundary.
- Don’t moisturize the area before you begin plucking, otherwise the tweezers will be unable to grip the hairs properly.
- Place the tips of the tweezer as close to the root of the hair as possible and pull the hair in the direction of hair growth.
- Tweeze one hair at a time.
- Never tweeze from above your eyebrows; it distorts the natural curve.
- Pause frequently while tweezing so that you can stand back and check that you are following the correct line.
- Another useful tip is that your brows should extend a little past the corner of each eye.
- When both brows are done, dab some astringent on a cotton pad on the eyebrows and surrounding skin. Do not get in the eyes or on eyelids. This will close up the skins’ pores, tightening them where hair has been removed.
- To ease the pain you can numb brow area with an ice cube.
